The Product Heroes Newsletter

April 6, 2023

I was finishing the chapter of my book this morning. And I thought about sharing with you an extract.

"The way I see my product management approach and the best way in my head is to be as effective as possible. I want to emphasise simplicity, directness, and practicality. My goal was to develop a system that allows me not to stay stuck with traditional ways of seeing things but to create something I could use in any company, regardless of the size, industry, or product. I believe that product management should be adaptable and fluid and based on the individual's needs and abilities."

Stay tuned, as I may require your help, and you could gain access to the book before everyone else.

🧠 Expert Wisdom: Unleashing Yourself

In the realm of product creation, your personal qualities are invaluable.

"Just as a unique value proposition matters for a product, your individual value and how you bring it to your team, stakeholders, and product are essential."

However, working on yourself can be challenging, requiring high self-awareness. Our brains tend to be overly pessimistic in certain situations, as we are often more critical of ourselves. The following strategy involves gathering information from the people who know you best.

Here are the three questions to ask people around you to unlock your potential and overcome any roadblocks:

  1. What qualities allow me to accomplish what I want?

  2. What factors might block me from achieving my goals?

  3. What do you perceive as my biggest weakness?

I tried it a few years ago, and it provided me with invaluable insights. I trusted my friends to give me honest and constructive feedback to help me reach my goals.

By gathering feedback from others, you can better understand your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to grow and overcome obstacles on your path to success.
